There is just over £5,000 in the Small Grants Fund to allocate to local organisations on January 25th 2016, but applications need to be sent in by November 27th.

The Partnership Neighbourhood Plan for 2015/16 has been agreed and the details can be seen on the Partnership website. To help us fulfil the Plan’s ambitions, several subgroups have been set up:

Green capital

The Bishopston Cotham and Redland Neighbourhood Partnership has announced that there is £2,435 from the Green Capital Fund available to groups that wish to apply.

There is £12,500 in the Small Grants Fund to allocate to local organisations on October 12th 2015, but applications need to be sent in by September 5th.

The outcome of the May general election might have a profound effect on local public services and therefore the work of the Partnerships. If the austerity  agenda takes precedence, then local authority funding, as an “unprotected” area of government spending, will again be cut although it will be difficult to see what fat is left to trim.

In view of the reduced resources available to local government, Bristol City Council is requiring all the Neighbourhood Partnerships to devise their own 3-year Neighbourhood Plan by March 2015.

The Grounds Maintenance Service maintains most, but not all, of the city’s green spaces - parks, highway verges, housing green space. It also includes formal parks, open grass, meadow, woodland, streams, ditches.....

Although there is a more than a four-month gap between the Neighbourhood Partnership meetings in June and October, this is no “summer recess” as experienced by our MP’s. In July we were given the first details of the funding available under the banner of Green Capital 15....

The Bristol 2015 NP fund is £250k.  Initially, £10,000 has been allocated to each NP.  The remaining £110k will become available when NPs have allocated / spent the initial £10,000 and will be focussed on areas of greater need and areas with additional ideas and projects.

BCR Neighbourhood Partnership

May 3rd to May 11th was our Neighbourhood Festival, co-ordinated by the Bishopston Cotham and Redland Neighbourhood Partnership. Several events happened on the Gloucester Road area, including the Heritage Mapping Session on Wednesday May 7th lead by a Council officer.
