The Bishopston Society is very concerned that this proposal for a whole additional floor to be provided within a large flat roof dormer would be detrimental to the appearance of the house and the street as a whole.

The front face of the dormer is set back approx. 500mm from the front face of the house.  As such the dormer extension would be clearly visible from the street. We would recommend that the dormer should be set back at least 1200mm.

In its current design we recommend refusal.
