SORRY! PLANNING PORTAL OUT OF ACTION: We are sorry to have to announce that The Bishopston Planning Portal is currently out of action. For technical reasons beyond our control, much of the information gathered via the portal is not currently being updated automatically, and therefore the portal does not currently provide a reliable indication of the details or status of planning applications. You may still view it, but beware of misleading results please. We are working to develop a fix for this problem. Bristol City Council's online planning database at https://planningonline.bristol.gov.uk/ remains the definitive source of information.

Drop curb outside of 186 Ashley Down Road, remove garden wall and pave front garden to convert into off street parking.

We are concerned that there is a conflict between the existing parking layby and creating further parking within the front garden behind. We recommend refusal.
If permission is granted for the parking area, the road finish must be permeable so that no additional rain water runs onto the highway. This can be achieved with loose gravel, permeable paving or a drainage channel which does NOT discharge onto the footpath or highway or into the public sewer.

NOTE: the articles shown above are merely the most recent 10 in our Planning section. There's lots more as you'll see by clicking through to the sub-sections Commentary, Architecture, Licensing and Policies.
