BISHOP ROAD PRIMARY SCHOOL - PRE APPLICATION CONSULTATION
The Bishopston Society has heard from some of our members about the proposal to extend the school further. Though we understand the pressure for providing more primary school places in Bishopston, we share the concern of local residents, we would like to offer some suggestions, prior to the formal application.

The website editor, writing to his local MP, Stephen Williams, about his concern over the new 'lax' regulations relating to house extensions has now received the following reply:

The following letter has been sent by our secretary to Bristol City Council Planning Department:

The recent period has been relatively quiet on the planning front with few significant applications.

Oct 22nd 2012. We are concerned about the proposed dormer treatment to the front elevation.

Oct 22nd 2012. We are concerned with the proposed gable appearance of this roof extension.

Oct 22nd 2012. The Society considers this to be an excellent application, well considered and suited to the site.

Oct 22nd 2012. The Society is concerned about this conversion of a roofspace into a 1 bedroom flat.
