The Bishopston Society's mission is to secure the improvement of local amenities and the social, environmental and historic character of Bishopston, and to become the recognized voice of the area on these matters.

The Bishopston Society is a membership organisation with over 170 members and an active committee with a range of interests and local knowledge.
The committee is composed of interested members elected annually at the Society's Annual General Meeting (usually held as part of one of our public meetings - see Our news & events).

The Bishopston Society was formed in 2002 by local residents who were concerned at the growth of planning applications for houses to be built in back gardens.
