Our web site has had a revamp!

A minor revamp of The Bishopston Society's web site went live today following a 'backroom' effort by our web group over the last few weeks.

Most of the work that's been going on is associated with technical features that aren't generally visible to visitors to our site. We've gone through a major upgrade of the software that drives the site, a range of server optimisations, and other updates that improve security and resilience.

However, we also took the opportunity to make selected design improvements at the same time, so alert visitors may notice, for example, minor improvements to the general layout, our enquiry forms, photo galleries, accessibility support, Network section and other features.

We hope you like the latest version but we'd love to have your feedback, as always, via the Feedback link provided at the foot of every page.

We're now moving in to a planning stage of the next functional version, and will be glad to take the ideas of our members and others into account in planning version 4 of our site.

.....and finally, here's a short version history of the TBS web site, in reverse chronological order:-

  • Version 3.1 released 27/4/16 as above
  • Version 3 released 8/9/13 following major design revamp - see Web site version 3 (September 2013)
  • Version 2 released 24/2/10 following complete rebuild
  • Version 1 released c. 25/8/06 as initial pilot
