The following email has been received from Lucy Mitchell, Community Project Worker: You may have noticed that Bristol City Council has changed rubbish contractors

and all the black bins are being changed to smaller ones. And what will happen to all the old bins?

Well, up at the Golden Hill Community Garden - Horfield's Accesible Allotment and Edible Forest - we are having a wheelie bin party to upcycle them into beautiful water butts.

Saturday 4th August 10am- 3pm.  Drop in anytime between 10am -3pm.
We provide the bin, a tap and cool, mess-free kid friendly decorations.
We will help you fit the tap and give advice about set up at home or the allotment

And all for just £2!! That's less than the cost of a tap!

There will also be cakes and refreshments on sale.

Our site is accessible and disabled parking is available on request.

I'd recommend wearing old clothes.

You can find us on the allotment site behind Bishop Rd School and Horfield prison, through the gates at the end of Monk Rd BS7 8NE

Get in touch or check the website for more details: www.thegoldenhillcommunitygarden.com

See you in the garden

Lucy
