Space for Cycling ride 2014 flickr.comphotossamsaunders14207776955Sustrans has just released a report 'Transforming Cities: The potential of everyday cycling'.

It estimates, by using present rates of increasing cyclist numbers, that by 2040, UK cities like Bristol could achieve figures for cycling transport approaching those of present day Amsterdam or Copenhagen.

There would be huge health and economic benefits too. Read the Sustrans report on future Bristol and other cities here
