In Bishopston, Cotham and Redland, the Neighbourhood Partnership is getting ready for an exciting week of community activities to run from 4th - 11th May.

On offer will be a wide range of cultural and fun events, meetings, workshops and hands-on activities to raise awareness of the Neighbourhood Partnership and the valuable work that it does.  Our aim is to enable and encourage people to get actively involved in improving our local area, to give us all a chance to meet new people and to celebrate our neighbourhood.  All local people – residents, workers, employers and students - are warmly invited to attend.
The week begins on Saturday 4th May at the Whiteladies Farmers Market and the Redland May Fair on the following Bank Holiday Monday 6th May.  It continues with a series of events which are currently being planned (watch this space for a full programme).  To end the week there will be a special public meeting (a super forum) at Horfield Baptist Church from 12 – 5pm on Saturday 11th May.  At this event, the mayor will speak about communities and neighbourhoods, we will discuss the challenges facing our local high streets and there will be an interactive session for local people to tell us which issues should be the next set of priorities for the Neighbourhood Partnership.  We encourage local people to do 2 things:
1. mark the week in your diaries and watch out for the programme
2. if you are a community group and would like to put something on for the festival or are already running something you think might fit the bill, then please let us know.
