FriendsOfBristolMuseumsMessage from Sue Thurlow, Chairman of the Friends of Bristol Museums, Galleries & Archives:

Bristol Record Office is delighted to be taking part in ‘Know Your Bristol On The Move’, a range of new community projects exploring local heritage and culture.

One of the key roles for Bristol Record Office will be to add thousands of images of Bristol from their Vaughan postcard collection to the award-winning Know Your Place website (www.bristol.gov.uk/knowyourplace).

They are currently seeking volunteers to help with both researching the photographs and uploading them to Know Your Place.

If you are interested in volunteering:

·         Join a drop-in volunteer session at Bristol Record Office on Tuesday mornings, 10.00am to 12.30pm.

·         Come along to a volunteer information event at Bristol Record Office on Saturday 1 March at 2pm (refreshments provided)

·         Contact the project’s Engagement Coordinator, Dr Nick Nourse, at
