Carriageworks
A group working to develop the long neglected Stokes Croft site. The Overall Vision of this group: The Carriageworks development will make a positive contribution to the economy, culture and environment of Stokes Croft and the surrounding area. It will be home to many activities, businesses and people and will be a buzzing vibrant place, busy with people not just from the local area but who have travelled from further afield. The local community wants to see the dereliction of this site addressed as a priority and it will work with any organisation that shares its vision for the future.

Friends of Horfield Common
A group of volunteers working to ensure that Horfield Common – including Wellington Hill Playing Field, and the Ardagh – are able to be made use of, and enjoyed by the local community as the amazing assets that they are for the area and it’s residents.

Hamilton House
Coexist hosts Hamilton House as a space in which we collectively live, work, play and innovate to create a better world for each other, our community and the environment. Coexist is a social enterprise, set up as a community interest company based on a philosophy of open hearted and active engagement. We empower members of the community on Stokes Croft to lead its development and have incubated new creative projects and social businesses from conception to sustainability.

Narroways Millenium Green Trust
Narroways Hill is a little grassy & wooded ridge dissected by railway lines lying just North of inner-city Bristol, in the neighbourhood of St Werburghs. It has always been an open space and as the city has encroached around it, its value as a green sanctuary has increased.

People's Republic of Stokes Croft
Part of the mission statement: We will provide benefit to The Community by promoting the interests of the area, and by seeking to work with the skills of the whole Community to influence the direction in which this area develops. PRSC will seek to promote and bring to fruition the notion of Stokes Croft as a Cultural Quarter, as a destination. PRSC will seek to promote creativity and activity in the local environment, thereby generating prosperity, both financial and spiritual.

Phoenix Hedge Preservation Group
This 700 year old + hedge runs between Henleaze Park and Phoenix Grove. The 295ft (90m) long boundary straddles the Henleaze Junior School playing fields and Golden Hill Sports Ground.

One of our neighbourhood sister organisations, Redland and Cotham Amenities Society was founded in 1973, its general aim is to preserve and enhance the character of the Cotham area, its architecture, trees and amenities, for the benefit of present and future residents.

Sustainable Redland started in 2005. We are not an ‘institution’ – we have no staff and no committee. We are one of many local groups working on how Bristolians will thrive beyond oil, and on lightening our impact on the ecosystems on which we depend. Bristol Parks Forum
Bristol Parks Forum was established by Bristol Parks as an umbrella organisation for community park groups and organisations in the city with an interest in their local parks and green spaces. The forum is supported by Bristol City Council but acts independently and is currently the only ‘community voice’ that is dedicated to all of Bristol’s green spaces.

The Cheese Project
The CHEESE pilot project was setup in March 2015 with funding from Bristol Green Capital 2015. The CHEESE Project aims to reduce domestic energy losses, at low cost, by up to a third. This saves money, improves health and wellbeing and, reduces our carbon emissions.

The Sweet History? website explores the impact of the sugar and slave trades on the built environment of Bristol. It includes activities and education resources to support the school curriculum. The website has been developed by the Archirecture Centre, Bristol in partnership with young people from the Knowle West Media Centre.
