Neighbourhood planning is a new way for communities to decide the future of their area.
Civic Voice is running a workshop.........
in Bristol on 21st February on neighbourhood planning, to help everyone get involved. No expertise in planning is required. Instead of waiting for your local council, neighbourhood planning allows you to take the lead. The right to produce a neighbourhood plan is part of the new Localism Act and it will begin this April. A large number of civic societies are already getting involved including Marple, Ealing and Dronfield.
To help the many other groups who have considered participating in a neighbourhood plan, but don't know where to start, Civic Voice is organising 5 introductory workshops across England on this subject, including Bristol.
It will be held on Feb 21st, 1 to 4 pm at: Youth Hostels Association, Bristol Youth Hostel Agency 14 Narrow Quay Bristol BS1 4QA
The workshop will be a chance to
• Discuss the emerging neighbourhood planning process
• Discover existing tools to prepare and review plans
• Develop new tools to help you plan a neighbourhood
• Share your ideas and experiences with other groups
The event is free (donations welcome) and to book onto the workshop, please click here:
