The Bishopston Society is extremely concerned about the design of the large proposed dormer window to the rear of this property.

The dormer is extremely large, flat roofed, has a combination of lead cladding to the front face and tile hanging to the sides and large glazed doors and Juliette balcony overlooking neighbouring gardens.  But worst of all the dormer is so wide as to miss the line of the main hip of the roof, thus necessitating an ungainly cranked  side cheek.  This is a very poor piece of design and, if permitted, would result in the disfigurement of the rear and side of the property.  We strongly recommend refusal.
