We support the updating of the shop front and front elevation of 131 Gloucester Road and the incorporation of innovative low energy lighting.


However we would much prefer to avoid the use of cedar boarding to the upper level, as it is a material which is currently fashionable but has no connection with the other buildings in the street.

We would recommend the use of painted render which would allow the building to positively enhance the existing character of the area.
