The Bishopston Society are concerned about the impact of the proposed dormer window, which is large and extremely square/boxy. Although the dormer is set back from the front elevation, it is still clearly visible from the street and extremely dominant.
We recommend that the dormer is adjusted as follows to reduce its visual impact;
- North face to be a sloping roof (angle to match main roof) covered in old double roman tiles
- Rear face to be inset 1m at the rear
- Front and rear faces to be covered in red/brown plain tiles (to colour match with main roof)
