Merton road 2Back in November 2018, The Bishopston Society responded with a strongly worded objection to a planning application for two industrial units and a storage unit at 18C Merton Road - an application which seemed to completely ignore the serious detrimental effect it would have on the property and lives of adjacent residents.  

The furore over this application has now been picked up by Bristol Live: bristollive. Further angry objections have been voiced by residents of Brynland Avenue, the road running behind Merton Road, as well as from nearby Ashley Down residents; and local Councillor Tom Brookes has put a very good case for the application being refused: see these here

We can only hope that in the light of these well considered objections, the BCC's planning committee on February 27th recognises this application as unacceptable - one which totally disregards its detrimental effects on neighbouring residential properties - and firmly decides to refuse it.
